Moorpark Pump Station

Jifco Inc. was selected by Brutoco Engineering (General Contractor) to supply carbon steel pipe and fitting for the Moorpark Pump Station Project.  The Moorpark Pump Station Project consisted of installing two 350 HP and one 700 HP vertical turbine pumps and motors, steel piping, HDPE piping, other utilities, equipment and a building involving civil, electrical, mechanical, steel  concrete, masonry, asphalt concrete, and landscape work.  Jifco supplied 72” thru 4” carbon steel pipe for the New and Future Pump Stations.  Pipe was supplied with cement mortar lining and cement mortar coating (buried pipe) and cement mortar lining and epoxy coated (exposed pipe).  The pipe and fittings were fabricated to AWWA C200 and the strict Calleguas Municipal Water District specifications.

The pump station is a key component of the district's Las Posas Basin Aquifer Storage and Recovery project which will provide up to a three-year supply of water for southern Ventura County.  The $16 million facility will enable Calleguas Municipal Water Distirect to deliver water previously stored in a groundwater aquifer system underlying Moorpark to communities throughout its 360-square-mile service area.
